Roger Marshall vs Barbara Bollier 

       For 88 years, Kansas has only had Republican senators. But now, Pat Roberts, senator for the past twenty-three years has stepped down, leaving one spot open for either Republican-turned-Democrat Barbara Bollier or firm Republican Roger Marshall. 

      Although Roger Marshall has more notable allies including former senator Pat Roberts and current president Donald Trump, Barbara Bollier still holds a narrow lead in the polls as the elections pull ahead.

       Roger Marshall fights for traditional conservative values, including pro-life beliefs, gun rights, and immigration reform. Barbara Bollier, however, favors more liberal values including climate change reform and LGBTQ rights. Both candidates began their careers as doctors, but they have opposing beliefs on government programs. Marshall is in strong opposition to ObamaCare, whereas Bollier fights for the ACA, Medicare, and Medicaid.
