Roger "Doc" Marshall is a 60-year-old grandfather and representative for Kansas' Republican Party in the upcoming senate elections. Having graduated from medical school at the University of Kansas (just like his adversary Barbara Bollier), Marshall earned a "Teacher of the Year" award before working at a hospital for twenty-five years, fourteen of which included him as the Chairman.

In 2016, when elected to Congress, Marshall focused on improving Kansas' crop yields (and other agriculture-related goals) along with improving the economy through deregulation and tax cuts. He has been very supportive of President Trump, having agreed with 98% of his bills, and he is also being endorsed by former Republican senator Pat Roberts (1997 - 2020).

Having delivered over 5,000 babies in his professional career, Marshall is very passionate about pro-life movements and strongly opposes abortions.

Barbara Bollier is a 62-year-old Christian woman who, along with her husband and children, has lived in Kansas for nearly her entire life. After graduating from medical school at the University of Kansas, Bollier began her professional career as a doctor and a nurse, while also being a tutor for public school children.

In 2010, Bollier began a career in politics, as a representative for the Republican Party in the Kansas House of Representatives, and in 2016, she earned a seat in the Kansas State Senate (not to be confused with the US Senate). Throughout these six years, Bollier focused on health reform (primarily due to her experiences as a doctor), and she was even appointed as the "Vice Chair of the Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee" until she began to affiliate herself with the Democratic Party in 2018.

As mentioned above, Bollier's prior experience as a doctor and tutor strongly influenced her political ideology. Although Bollier claims that the "inclusion of anti-transgender language" in the Kansas Republican Party's platform was the final breaking point for her, she also stated that her moral compass resided with Democrats, who favored "Medicaid expansion and funding for K-12 schools".

Bollier will be representing the Democratic Party in the US Senate Elections in 2020.
